Set up a quoteA server cluster distributes your application across multiple physical servers that work together as a single environment. If one node experiences a hardware failure, the remaining nodes continue handling traffic without interruption. Your users don't notice anything happened.
This also means maintenance windows no longer require downtime. Nodes can be taken offline one at a time for updates or hardware work while the others keep serving traffic. Capacity can be added to the cluster without touching what's already running.
Database replication works alongside the cluster to keep your data consistent and recoverable. A replicated database means that if your primary database server fails, a replica can take over quickly, and your read traffic can be distributed across replicas to reduce load on the primary.
